Where we ship from, what it costs and when it arrives
Shipping and delivery
We deliver to 235 countries. Our own goods leave our warehouse in Herten; supplier goods leave the supplier’s warehouse — which of the two applies is stated on the line item. The shipping charge depends on weight and destination and is shown in your cart before you order.
Dispatch locations and handling time
Our own goods are dispatched from our warehouse in Herten, North Rhine-Westphalia. They normally leave within one to three working days of payment.
Part of the range comes from suppliers and ships from their own warehouse. Where that applies it is stated on the product page for that line item, together with the supplier selling the goods.
Made-to-order items have their own production time. It is stated on the product page and is not included in the transit times below.
Carriers
Parcels up to 31.5 kg go with DHL. Heavier consignments travel as freight; which carrier runs depends on destination, weight and dimensions and is named in the quotation.
Zones, free-shipping thresholds and transit times
Transit time starts when the consignment is handed to the carrier, not when you order. Handling time of one to three working days is additional. Customs clearance may hold a consignment up further; that is outside our control.

How the shipping charge is calculated
We charge by weight in bands: up to 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 20 kg and 31.5 kg. Each band has a fixed price per zone. Above 31.5 kg the parcel network ends and the consignment travels as freight.
The exact amount appears in your cart as soon as the destination is known — before you order, not after.
- Freight consignments are banded at 100, 500, 1,000 and 2,500 kg.
- Bulky goods may attract a surcharge. It is stated in the quotation, not added afterwards.
- Machines and plant are notified individually; unloading and scheduling are agreed in advance.
Customs, import taxes and Incoterms
Within the customs territory of the Union no duty arises — the goods move inside the single market. Deliveries to a third country are different, and the question is: who bears duty and import tax, and when?
Our checkout shows duty and import charges as a separate line and collects them there — in addition to the goods price, not inside it. Where an item is fully recorded for customs, with commodity code and country of origin, we therefore ship it DDP: you pay everything at the time of purchase, and nothing is charged on delivery.
This is not a blanket rule. Where those details are still missing for an item, we state only what the checkout does and give no assurance about delivery. Which term applies to a line item is stated on its product page — and it is stated there only when it is substantiated.
- DDPDelivered Duty Paid. The seller handles carriage, export and import clearance and pays duty and import taxes to the authorities. The amount is charged to you during checkout, not on delivery — nothing is added there. This is how we ship where the item is recorded for it.
- DAPDelivered at Place. The seller brings the goods to the destination, but duty and import taxes are the buyer’s. This is the common arrangement in mail order, and the reason consignments sit at customs until someone pays.
- EXWEx Works. The buyer collects and bears everything from there. Available for collection in Herten on request.
Part deliveries and transport damage
Orders containing goods from several warehouses may arrive in parts. No additional shipping cost arises for you.
Where packaging is visibly damaged, have the driver record it on the consignment note before you confirm receipt. Confirming receipt without reservation may exclude claims against the carrier — and with them our own ability to pursue the loss there. What happens next is set out under returns and warranty.
Export restrictions
Excluded are deliveries where the goods, the country or the region are subject to sanctions or export restrictions of the European Union or of the country of dispatch. Orders may be declined on that ground; any amount already paid is refunded in full.
