Return window, claims for defects and how a return works
Returns and warranty
If something is wrong with a delivery, you have 30 days to tell us and twelve months of claims for defects. Where the fault is ours, we pay for the return. How that works in detail is set out here.
Return window: 30 days from delivery
If goods are defective or wrongly delivered, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will take them back by prior arrangement. Within those 30 days we will not argue that notice was given too late. So you have time to examine and install the goods properly.
The return window is designed for defective and incorrectly delivered goods; it is not intended for goods that are free of defects. shukchok supplies businesses; the distance-selling right of withdrawal, by contrast, is available only to consumers under section 312g BGB. If a delivery does not suit your project, talk to us — we will look at what can be done in the individual case.
- Return window for defects and wrong deliveries: 30 days from delivery
- Claims for defects: twelve months from delivery
- Return shipping where the defect is attributable to us: we pay
- Return of goods free of defects without reason: not provided for — we advise you before you order instead
Defective or wrong delivery
We will remedy the defect or supply goods free of defects — the choice is ours, and we make it so that you can get back to work quickly. If that does not succeed, you may reduce the price or withdraw from the contract.
To make that work, please examine the goods on receipt and notify us of apparent defects and wrong deliveries without delay, and of hidden defects without delay after discovery (section 377 HGB). The sooner we know, the more readily a case can also be settled with the carrier or the manufacturer. Without such notice the delivery is deemed approved under that provision.
This duty sits alongside the return window above, not against it: the statutory wording is "without delay", and within the first 30 days from delivery we will not argue that you were too late.
- Period for claims for defects: twelve months from delivery
- For used goods the delivery follows the condition described; claims for defects are excluded there
- Unaffected: fraudulent concealment, guarantees, personal injury, gross fault and claims under the German Product Liability Act
Transport damage
Where packaging is visibly damaged, have the carrier record this on the consignment note before you confirm receipt. Confirming receipt without reservation may exclude claims against the carrier — and with them our own ability to pursue the loss there.
Photograph the packaging and the goods before unpacking and send us the images with the damage report.
How a return works
Report the case first. We will agree the route with you and give you the address, so the shipment is matched to the right order from the outset. An unannounced return cannot be allocated and therefore cannot be processed.
Where the defect is attributable to us, we bear the cost of return. Otherwise the customer bears it.
Custom-made items and freight goods
For freight goods — machines and plant not shipped as parcels — collection, loading and scheduling are agreed with you separately; costs follow the actual effort involved.
Goods manufactured or procured to customer specification are built around your application and are therefore outside the return window as long as they are free of defects. Claims for defects are unaffected. If you are unsure before ordering whether a version fits, ask us first — that is what we are here for.
