Industrial spare parts for Innsbruck and the Inn valley

You buy for three works that have nothing in common technically — and still buy the same product groups for all of them. Three change lists are therefore not a special case but three lots of freight and three lots of paperwork. On shukchok they sit in one transaction.

Your desk, your plants

The buying desk sits in the city, the plant stands in the valley

Innsbruck is an administrative and commuter centre: 92.1 per cent of all establishments sit in the service sector, and around 34,500 people commute in every day. For you that means not less demand but a different place — head office, buying and the engineering desk here, the works in the valley to the east.

The purchasing unit is therefore the catchment area rather than the city boundary. Eighteen or forty kilometres are no argument in industrial purchasing: the consignment goes to the works address, and the shipping bracket follows the weight, not the distance inside the EU zone.

What does pay off is bundling, and that is what shukchok is for — an open marketplace for industrial goods. A change list covering three works sits there in one basket: one transaction, one payment, one cost centre per job.

  • Around 34,500 daily inbound commuters; 7,964 establishments, 41 of them above 200 employees
  • Industry division in Tyrol: 413 member businesses, 14.27 bn euros of production value
  • The shipping bracket follows the total weight, not the number of line items

The catchment area, with the distance

Five plants, three material questions, one order

The left column states the location, including where it lies outside the city. Where no sourced distance exists, a positional relation stands instead of a figure.

What wears out inside the city itself

Digester gas is wet, sulphurous and patient — the elastomer is not

The municipal sewage works treats around 20 million cubic metres a year at 2,000 litres per second, in three stages, for Innsbruck and 18 further municipalities. Digester gas has been used since 1976; two combined heat and power units generate around four million kilowatt hours a year from it.

In purchasing terms digester gas is a demanding medium. What hangs on it are shut-off valves with a suitable material pairing, seals that tolerate hydrogen sulphide, filtration, water separation and sight glasses for visual checks — parts changed on interval rather than bought project by project.

For exactly that, the article page shows signed-in buyers when and how often the same item was last ordered; a whole earlier order goes back into the basket in one step.
