Industrial spare parts for process plant in Hamburg

In port operations, material resistance decides, not price — so the wrong elastomer compound is not a purchasing error but a shutdown with a lead time. On shukchok a specification table sits at every position, with the price above it.

The demand on the ground

Four worlds of plant, one port area

The heavy industry of this city sits concentrated on the water. For your purchasing that means the same media, the same wear parts, different operators — and four times the same basket.

  • Crude processing under major-accident rules

Whoever changes a gasket set or a valve there picks the material first and the price second. Mineral oil processing in Hamburg turned over around 33.8 billion euros in 2017 — an order of magnitude you recognise from the length of the maintenance list.

  • Copper, steel, aluminium

Over one million tonnes of copper cathode a year from around 2.4 million tonnes of concentrate, plus electric steel and aluminium electrolysis. Heat, dust and abrasion wear seals and filter elements faster here than in any assembly plant.

  • Four thermal plants

Over 320,000 tonnes of waste and around 160,000 tonnes of waste wood at one plant, a second in the port, a third with around 323,000 tonnes under construction. Emission monitoring runs on every line around the clock — and with it the consumption of coolers and filter elements.

  • Sulphuric acid from the roaster gas

The sulphur dioxide from copper refining is converted to sulphuric acid on site, and the waste heat goes into the city. A closed loop with a valve world of its own and a material question at every position.

Your situation

Your city reads as a service location. Your parts list says otherwise.

Manufacturing accounts for 11.5 per cent of gross value added here. What is there is the heaviest kind any German city carries.

For your purchasing that is the difference that matters. A refinery, a smelter and four flue gas trains need material resistance, sample gas conditioning and steam valves, and they need them permanently, because continuous emission monitoring is a legal requirement and does not pause.

Sounds like a catalogue promise. On shukchok — an open marketplace for industrial goods, several suppliers side by side — the price is therefore up front, before you sign in, with the table underneath it: material, operating limits, design and size. Full-text search reads that table, so 1.4404, PTFE or FKM return hits through the specification and not only through the product name.

For suppliers

Your customers are here — and the shelf space costs nothing

Anyone in the north who manufactures or trades in seals, bellows, valves, filters or sample gas equipment can read the first half of this page as a market description. Those are your customers, and they already order here.

Shelf space carries no fee here, and our margin only arises once a position has actually sold. Manufacturer and supplier are named at every position, and which of them becomes the contracting party for the buyer is stated there before the order.

For the documented scope a refinery acceptance calls for — an EN 10204 inspection certificate, a calibration certificate, a PED category on the article — that is exactly the route: suppliers who carry those papers store them as article metadata and deliver through the same basket the operator next door drops their coolers into.

  • No listing fee, no monthly fee, no manual product approval
  • Your range, your prices, published without waiting for a release
  • Contract, invoicing and payment handling stay with us

Asked briefly

Three questions from the port

Can I filter by material?
Search yes, filter no. Material and nominal size sit in the specification table and are reachable through full-text search; the facets are availability, price, manufacturer, product type, variant option, rating and tag.
We change twenty identical positions in one round. Can that go faster?
Yes, once signed in: the article page shows when and how often you have ordered the same article, and a completed order can be put back into the basket in full. On a change round that is the real time saved.
What does carriage to Hamburg cost?
Hamburg sits in the domestic zone: EUR 9.49 for a parcel up to two kilograms, 19 per cent VAT on the invoice, from EUR 250 order value no carriage at all — and no customs border between the dispatch point and your works gate.

Two ways in

Check the material before you call — it sits at the position

Search for 1.4404, PTFE or FKM and the specification table answers. If you hold those materials yourself, hang them beside it — the space is free.
