Parts for process gas and emission measurement

Your monitoring runs whether the parts do or not, so tube, filter element and cooler outlet are not spares — they are a running cost with a test date on it. On shukchok all three carry a part number and a price, without the instrument maker in between.

Your measuring train

A reading that drifts costs more than an instrument that stops

A blocked fine filter, a squeezed peristaltic tube, a cooler outlet running too warm: none of them reports anything. They move the reading, and the plant appears to hold its limits because the conditioning is working badly rather than because the process changed.

It surfaces at the annual surveillance test, or at the latest at the next calibration — and then the question in the room is since when. By that point you have written to the instrument maker, waited for a quotation and bought his turnaround time along with the part.

Yet the whole chain in front of the analyser is manufacturer-independent. Cooler, filter housing and condensate pump do not know which instrument sits behind them, which is why they are here as single positions with pore size, dimension and part number.

  • A part number at the variant on all 114 articles, and the search matches on it
  • 1PFEPF0002 returns the universal filter, 13160054 the O-ring for the gas cooler
  • Cooler, filter element, O-ring and tubing orderable one by one

The path of the sample gas

Six stations, five wear parts

The order matters, because a fault in step three shows up as a wrong number in step six.

  1. Heated sampling line

Keeps the gas above its dew point all the way to the cooler. Cold spots are the most common fault that produces no error message: the gas condenses before the cooler instead of inside it, and the reading is systematically low.

  2. Coarse and fine filtration

A complete particle filter with mounting bracket and a 2 µm PTFE element keeps dust out of the cooler. PTFE rather than paper, because the element is in contact with the sample gas.

  3. Gas cooler

The RCI series works with a glass cooling piston and a controlled, long-term stable block temperature, shown on a 128 × 64 touch panel. This is where the outlet dew point is set — the figure that actually describes the conditioning.

  4. Condensate removal

A peristaltic pump pulls the condensate out of the cooler through a Marpren tube of 3.2 mm outer and 1.6 mm inner diameter, sold by the metre. It is permanently squeezed and it is the shortest-lived item in the whole path.

  5. Filter housing at the cooler outlet

A second PTFE element, Ø 25 / 18.5 mm and 55 mm long, average pore size 5 µm, sits in the cooler filter housing with its own O-ring. Both are separate line items for a reason.

  6. Analyser

Not part of this catalogue, and the last section of this page says who that position is open for. What we carry is everything upstream of it, plus the temperature and pressure instruments around it.

What the marketplace changes

Two pore sizes in one gas path — and the number that tells them apart

shukchok is an open marketplace for industrial goods, and the two PTFE elements on it are not two versions of the same thing. The complete particle filter carries 2 µm and protects the cooler; the insert for the cooler filter housing has an average pore size of 5 µm and fixed dimensions of Ø 25 / 18.5 mm at 55 mm length.

Fit the finer element where the coarser belongs and you buy dead volume and response time; the other way round, dust reaches the detector. So the pore size stands at the position rather than in an enquiry — and the part number separates the two more reliably than any description.

For a retrofit the interface usually decides, not the cooling capacity. The RCI coolers speak RS232 as standard; four galvanically isolated 4–20 mA outputs, Profibus DP, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP or Profinet are optional. Settle that before comparing the cooling data.

  • Pass a cost centre in the basket so the measuring train keeps its own budget

Questions from measurement engineers

What gets asked before the order goes out

Why do I need a cooler in front of the analyser at all?
Because condensing water both dilutes the sample gas and dissolves water-soluble components out of it before they reach the detector. The cooler sets a defined outlet dew point, and only then is what arrives at the instrument reproducible.
How often does the peristaltic tube need replacing?
That depends on running hours and condensate load, so we quote no interval. What is certain: it is the shortest-lived part of the chain, it is sold by the metre, and its failure shows up as drift rather than as an alarm.
Which PTFE element goes where?
The 2 µm element belongs in the complete particle filter upstream of the cooler. The 5 µm insert, Ø 25 / 18.5 mm and 55 mm long, belongs in the cooler filter housing. They are not interchangeable, and the part number keeps them apart.
Do you carry analysers and calibration gases?
This catalogue covers sample gas conditioning and the instruments around it. Analysers, calibration gases and gas detection equipment are an open position on the marketplace — their manufacturers and distributors list here themselves and deliver through the same basket.
We build sample gas equipment. What does listing cost?
Nothing to start with: no joining fee, no monthly charge and no manual product release. We are paid out of the margin on a position that sells. You keep your prices and maintain your specification data on the article yourself.

Two ways in

Type the number instead of walking the category tree

Every position carries a part number at the variant, and the search finds it. And if you make analysers, probes or calibration gases: the space beside them is open and costs no fee.
