Industrial spare parts for Zurich and the Limmat valley
At the end of 2026 a third furnace line goes into service, so its measuring train is not a project but a third set of sample gas coolers, filter elements and water separators on a change interval. On shukchok material, operating limit and franc price stand before you enquire.

Your rhythm in Zurich
The boiler runs until the overhaul stops it
Zurich employs 95 per cent of its workforce in the tertiary sector — and even so, plant runs all around it with no season: a waste-to-energy plant at 245,000 t a year on two furnace lines, the largest treatment works in the country inside the city, a district heating network of around 150 kilometres and the largest mill in Switzerland in the middle of town.
Everything between the furnace and the stack — seal, valve, filter element, sample gas cooler — has a change interval that sits in the calendar rather than in a fault report. What breaks the calendar is the quotation round beforehand.
So shukchok puts the specification table above the price, in francs and without an account — an open marketplace serving six plants out of one basket, with no invoice at the door. You compare instead of waiting.

- One basket across several manufacturers means one border declaration instead of five
- waste per year, municipal waste-to-energy plant
- 245,000 t
- Two furnace lines, 84 MW thermal and 17 MW electrical.
- additional capacity from the third furnace line
- +120,000 t
- Under construction; plus 48 MW of district heat to 132 MW, commissioning at the end of 2026 — and with it a third measuring train.
- grain per year, largest mill in Switzerland

- City of Zurich company statistics 2022 — eight per cent down on 2011.

The procurement area runs down the Limmat
Six plants, one operator, the same change list
Anyone buying in the city regularly procures for sites down the Limmat — and that is where the plant engineering sits that the city itself is thin on. The Limmat valley association for waste, heat and wastewater carries eight municipalities and 31 contract municipalities; the heat network additionally supplies Spreitenbach and Fahrweid.
For a buying desk that is one procurement unit: boiler valves and steam seals on the furnace line, sample gas cooling and filter elements in the flue gas train, gas-side valves on electrolysis and methanation, transfer stations in the heat network, digester gas valves and sight glasses on the wastewater side.
Six plants on fixed intervals in one basket — and across the customs border every avoided single shipment counts twice, because it would mean a declaration of its own.
- A whole earlier order goes back into the basket in one step
- The Limmat valley manufactures too: valve component finishing and plant engineering
- Anyone manufacturing there can put their own programme here free of charge
What wears out down the Limmat
Six plants beyond the city boundary, point by point
All entries come from the operators themselves.
| Plant | Figure | Where the wear occurs |
|---|---|---|
| Limeco waste plant, Dietikon | 258 tonnes of waste a day, just under 95,000 tonnes a year on two furnace lines; steam at 400 degrees and 50 bar | Boiler valves, seals under temperature, condensate handling |
| Flue gas train of the same plant | Boiler at 950 degrees, quench from 250 down to 70 degrees; energy efficiency figure raised from 0.63 to 0.90 | Sample gas cooling, filter elements, water separation |
| Limeco power-to-gas | Two PEM electrolysers totalling 2.5 megawatts, 18 gigawatt hours of synthetic gas a year, in service since April 2022 | Gas-side valves and seals; methanation at 55 to 70 degrees |
| Regiowärme Limmat valley | 140,116 megawatt hours of heat delivered in 2024; trunk mains completed at the end of 2025, then district-by-district densification | Transfer stations, shut-off and control valves, heat exchanger fittings |
| Limeco treatment works, Dietikon | Around 100,000 population equivalents, of which over 85,000 residents and the rest industry; 1,460,244 standard cubic metres of digester gas in 2025 | Digester gas valves, filtration, sight glasses |
| Bio-Technopark Schlieren | Around 60 companies and organisations plus 80 university research groups on 100,000 square metres | Laboratory-side connection technology, compressed air treatment, seals |
