Spare and wear parts for industry in Amsterdam

Flue gas measurement runs while you sleep and the steam side waits for a cleaning window, so neither is a spare kit — both are standing orders with dates on them. On shukchok both carry a price before you sign in.

Your rhythm on site

Two wear rhythms, one delivery address — and a fortnight in between

A waste line in the port does not only burn. It sells its process steam over the fence, which makes one plant two customers at once: a flue gas side under continuous measurement, with cooler, PTFE filter element, water separator and hose hanging off it — and a steam side where every partner taking that steam runs traps, reducers and safety valves.

Both are on your calendar months ahead. The quotation round is not: five suppliers written to, queries about material and nominal size coming back one at a time, and goods inwards finding the seal in the wrong compound. Two weeks in which a line waits for something that sat on a shelf all along.

You have read that claim on other shops. The difference is where the price sits: above the specification table and before the login, in euro, with 0 % VAT on a confirmed btw-nummer. Nothing about the part is behind a form.

The demand on the ground

Four wear rhythms in one port

  • A waste line that never stops

1.4 million tonnes of waste a year across two blocks, in service since 1993 and 2009. Continuous emission measurement makes the sampling chain a consumable on an interval — and a missing filter element does not politely wait for the next window.

  • Steam sold over the fence

The process steam from that plant goes to industrial partners in the port. Every interface between two operators is a set of traps, reducers and safety valves someone has to keep tight, and the calendar for them belongs to a contract as much as to a plant.

  • Cocoa runs on steam and hot water

Roughly 600,000 tonnes a year go through the Amsterdam and Zaanstreek processing cluster, the largest cocoa import port in the world. Roasting, conching and cleaning are steam processes, and food-side plant is cleaned on a cycle — exactly the rhythm in which seals and angle seat valves get changed.

  • Mineral oil across the quay

62.2 million tonnes of throughput in 2024, of which 29.1 million tonnes were mineral oil products. Tank storage, pumps and transfer lines wear on their own schedule, and salt air helps none of the seals on them.

Canal harbour in an industrial port: on the left a silo battery with a conveyor gallery and a stack, an inland vessel on the water, on the right a plant hall with two stacks, external ducting and a process line running out across the quay.

One address, two supply chains

Flue gas measurement runs continuously. The steam side follows the cleaning and shutdown calendar. Both wear — and both go on the same order.

What the marketplace changes

The most useful thing a catalogue gives a fixed interval is memory

shukchok is an open marketplace for industrial goods, one EU delivery away: a plant with two blocks in continuous service replaces the same parts again and again, at intervals known in advance. Signed in, the article page shows how often and when you last ordered exactly this article, and a whole earlier order goes back into the basket in one step. Whoever places the order is rarely the person who chose the part — the specification at the position closes that gap before it turns into a phone call.

And the parts do not have to come from the same maker. A gas cooler element and a steam trap belong to two plants and two intervals, and they still go into one basket and one ordering pass, with your purchase order number and cost centre travelling through to the invoice. Amsterdam sits inside the EU customs territory, so nothing is collected at checkout and nothing afterwards.

For suppliers

A port that buys in two worlds is shelf space for two ranges

Everything above is a demand description: a flue gas path in continuous service, a steam network with several partners on it, and a food cluster that cleans on a cycle. If you manufacture or distribute sample gas equipment, seals, valves or filtration — including the food-approved compounds this port asks for — those are your customers, and this is where they look the part up.

The entry price is nothing — not as a promotion but as the model: we take a margin on a position that sells and take nothing anywhere else. You keep your range and your pricing; we carry the shop, the checkout, the invoicing and the customer contact. The buyer sees who made the part and who supplies it, and contracts with us.

  • Approvals and works certificates travel with the article as metadata
  • No listing fee and no monthly fee — the margin comes off a sale
  • Manufacturer and supplier are named at every position
