Buying Electro — what matters in the selection
Electrical components are rarely the reason for an order — but regularly the reason a repair does not get finished. Switches, capacitors, optocouplers and control components therefore belong in stock.
shukchok carries switching and control components for process, cleaning and environmental plants: switches, capacitors, semiconductors, optocouplers and microcontroller parts.
Voltage, current and package are stated. For semiconductors the package type is included as well, because it decides interchangeability on the board.
Selection criteria
Voltage and current with headroom
Components running at the edge of their specification age fast. 20 to 30 percent headroom on rated voltage and current is the usual design for continuous duty.
Package and pitch
Electrically equivalent parts do not necessarily fit mechanically. Pitch, package and connection orientation must suit the board or DIN rail.
Mind the ambient temperature
The life of electrolytic capacitors halves for every 10 °C above rated temperature. In a warm cabinet the temperature class is decisive.
Assess switching capacity realistically
The stated switching capacity applies to resistive load. Inductive loads such as contactors and motors require substantial derating.

Can I fit a capacitor with a higher voltage rating?
Yes, a higher voltage rating is uncritical as long as capacitance and package fit. The reverse does not hold — a capacitor with too low a rating will fail.
Are the components RoHS compliant?
New goods are supplied RoHS compliant unless the manufacturer states otherwise. The specific declaration of conformity is filed on the product or available on request.
Can I get obsolete components?
For older controls remaining stock or functionally equivalent successors can often still be sourced. Give us the type designation and application and we will check availability.
Can I order electro on account?

How quickly are electro delivered?
