Renesas

Renesas Electronics Corporation is a Japanese semiconductor manufacturer based in Tokyo, formed in 2010 through the merger of Renesas Technology and NEC Electronics. The company develops microcontrollers, microprocessors and analogue, power and connectivity semiconductors for automotive, industrial and IoT applications. According to the company, Renesas employs around 22,700 people (as of 2024) and expanded its portfolio through the acquisitions of Intersil (2017), IDT (2019) and Dialog Semiconductor (2021); their products are now offered under the Renesas brand.
