Industrial spare parts for Geneva and the Grand Genève

You supply two works with a customs border between them, so the same change list is not one order but two procedures with two risks. The delivery address decides, and shukchok calculates both routes correctly before you commit.

Flavour and fragrance works on a river plain: open process structure with distillation columns and condensers, tank farm behind a bund, long limestone ridge on the horizon

Your area, two customs territories

Buyer and plant here regularly sit in different states

The Grand Genève covers 209 municipalities: 117 in the Pôle métropolitain du Genevois français, 45 in the canton of Geneva and 47 in the district of Nyon — two cantons, two French departments, around 2,000 square kilometres. One figure shows how tightly interwoven that is: 116,752 active cross-border workers, as reported on 6 August 2026.

For purchasing that means something very practical. The same change list goes to two addresses with two entirely different procedures — and planning it wrong earns you an invoice at one of the two loading docks that nobody had budgeted for.

On shukchok the delivery address decides, not where the buyer sits: an open marketplace for industrial goods that prices both routes. Across the customs border delivery is duty paid, with duty and import charges standing in the total, and no invoice arrives at the door afterwards. Which delivery term applies to an article is stated on the article.

  • 209 municipalities, two cantons, two French departments
  • 116,752 active cross-border workers, predominantly from France
  • Prices without a login, a specification table on all 114 articles

The same order, two procedures

What the delivery address decides — and what it does not

What counts is the delivery address, not where the buyer sits. What stays the same in both columns: price and specification stand at the position ahead of the login.

Shipping values calculated from the shop shipping settings, delivery term from the shop delivery terms, tax rates from the shop tax settings. Swiss standard rate per the federal tax administration. A combined order across the border does not exist: anyone supplying both works orders twice — and both times the amount is settled before you commit.

What wears out here

What is tight at room temperature is no longer tight at 1.9 kelvin

Cryogenics at this scale is a procurement world of its own: sealing materials lose their recovery, components shrink by different amounts, and the change in length has to be taken up by a bellows. On the vacuum side it is not the plant that decides the leak rate but the individual joint — and at the border there are 40,000 leak-tight ones.

Every section opened costs seals, every conversion costs connectors, and every return to service ends in a leak test. Alongside it, a flavour and fragrance chemistry has produced in the city since 1898: distillation, condensation and tank storage mean columns with visual checks, solvent-resistant seals and valves that must not contaminate the product.

That is wear and rebuild material, not one-off purchasing — and exactly the kind of demand for which price and material have to be there up front.

  • Main magnets at 1.9 kelvin, held there by 120 tonnes of helium
  • Some 10,000 tonnes of liquid nitrogen in heat exchangers, five cryogenic islands
  • 40,000 leak-tight pipe joints, around 36,000 tonnes of cooled cold masses

Three reasons to list here yourself

  • Your customers are described above

Cryogenics, fragrance chemistry, municipal utilities and a density of precision machining in the Arve valley found nowhere else. Anyone manufacturing for that has just read their market in the paragraphs above.

  • Your paperwork comes along

A leak rate figure, an EN 10204 inspection certificate, a calibration record, a declaration of suitability for ultra-high vacuum, an SVTI approval: those records hang on the article of the supplier who holds them — and an open marketplace is the format for that, not a single catalogue.

  • Shelf space costs nothing

No listing fee, no monthly charge, no release run. Something falls due only once a position has sold — and checkout, invoicing and payment handling run through us.

Two ways in

Delivery address first, basket second

For a Geneva destination the checkout prices in francs and collects duty and import charges along with it — delivered duty paid, with no follow-up demand. For a French destination the customs border falls away. And if you manufacture in the Arve valley or in the canton yourself: your programme stands here beside ours, free of charge.
