Buying Pneumatik und Hydraulik — what matters in the selection
Pneumatics and hydraulics are the muscles of every production and process plant. Cylinders, valves, fittings, air preparation and hoses interlock so closely that a single mis-dimensioned component slows the whole chain.
shukchok carries both the actuating elements and the unglamorous parts that actually cause the failure: push-in fittings, one-way flow controls, service units and seal kits. Every item states thread size and operating pressure.
Particularly relevant for maintenance teams: we deliberately list individual components, not just complete assemblies. Anyone who only needs the rod seal should not have to replace the entire cylinder.
Selection criteria
Distinguish operating pressure from burst pressure
The permissible operating pressure is the design figure, not the burst pressure. Under pulsating load the operating pressure should stay well below the nominal value.
Check the thread precisely
G (BSPP), R (BSPT) and NPT look similar and are not compatible. The wrong thread appears to seal and then pulls out under load.
Air quality to ISO 8573-1
Valves and cylinders answer moist or oily compressed air with corrosion and sticking seals. Filters, water separators and dryers are part of the design, not an accessory.
Hose inner diameter, not outer
Flow rate depends on the inner diameter. For push-in fittings the outer diameter is what counts — state both when ordering.

Does an 8 mm push-in fitting match my hose?
Push-in fittings are designated by hose outer diameter. An 8 mm fitting suits a hose with 8 mm outer diameter regardless of wall thickness. The inner diameter determines the achievable flow rate.
Can I use pneumatic components in a hydraulic circuit?
No. Hydraulics work at a multiple of the pressure and with oil-resistant materials. Pneumatic components are rated for neither.
Can I order seal kits instead of complete cylinders?
Wherever the manufacturer offers seal kits we list them separately. Tell us the cylinder type and bore — a matching kit can usually be sourced even for older series.
