Editorial standards
What our articles rest on, who is accountable for them, and what happens when a statement turns out to be wrong.
Who writes
Every article carries the name of the person accountable for it and the capacity in which they write. We publish no article without an author, and we run no author names without a person behind them.
The author page states what that person is responsible for in the company. What it says is verifiable in the imprint or the commercial register.
Where the numbers come from
Numbers in our articles are either our own measurements with a date or they appear in a linked source. We name a measurement with the day it was taken and the place where it can be checked — usually our own product pages.
What we cannot back up, we leave out. A missing figure is a gap; an invented one is damage.
Two dates
Every article carries the date of publication and the date of the last review of its content. The second is not the date of the last text edit: fixing a typo is not a review.
Our commercial interest
shukchok is a trading company. We write about goods and processes we earn money from, and we say so in every article it applies to.
We take no payment for featuring a manufacturer in an article.
When something was wrong
A wrong statement is corrected in the article and the correction is named — struck through or added with a date. We do not delete mistakes quietly.
