Parts for the digester-gas and steam chain at Boston

One chain, two trades, one requisition: gas conditioning at the front, steam fittings at the back — so the shutdown window is not two procurement rounds, it is one list with a date on it. On shukchok that list is one basket.

Your plant

You buy for two trades from one desk — and the calendar for both is the same

Wastewater from 43 communities arrives at one harbour plant with a pumping capacity of 1,270 million gallons a day, and it leaves as rather more than treated water.

Gas conditioning on one side, steam-side fittings on the other, same building, same window — and traditionally two separate procurement exercises, because separators and traps come from different manufacturers and each supplier wants its own enquiry. That is two rounds of questions for parts that were on a shelf the whole time.

On shukchok they sit in one basket — an open marketplace for industrial goods, several manufacturers in one ordering process. Material, operating limits, design and size stand at each position before any login.

  • Around 1,700 companies in the regional biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector — clean utilities wear where every utility wears
  • Order number and cost centre travel from the basket to the invoice, without an account

The demand on the ground

Where the chain wears, stage by stage

A genuine sequence rather than a list: each stage hands its medium to the next, and each hands over a different wear problem.

  1. Digestion — twelve vessels, continuous

Roughly 27 metres across and 40 metres tall, running without interruption. The wear here is sealing and seeing: gaskets on hatches and pipework, sight glasses on lines that have to be checked without opening them.

  2. Gas at around 70 % methane

Wet, warm and corrosive. Before it reaches anything that measures or burns, it passes separators and filter elements — the same components a flue-gas sampling train uses, in a harder service.

  3. Boilers

From here on it is a steam plant like any other, with the ordinary consequences: condensate traps, pressure reducing valves, safety valves and strainers, replaced after a survey rather than after a failure.

  4. Steam turbine generator, around 3 MW

The end of the chain, and the point where an unplanned stop costs most. This is where a purchase history at the article — how often, how recently — is worth more than an interval out of a maintenance plan.

For suppliers

A municipal plant orders the same things for years — and it documents every one of them

If you manufacture or trade separators, filter elements, sight glasses, seals or steam fittings, that is the customer described above: planned, repeated, documented demand from a plant that cannot be switched off. They already order here, and the shelf space costs nothing — no listing fee, no monthly fee, no manual approval, because we earn on the margin of a position that sells and on nothing else.

You bring in your range and keep your prices in your own hands; the checkout, the invoicing and the payment handling run through us, and manufacturer and supplier are named visibly at every position. Across the customs border delivery is duty paid, so what reaches the gatehouse is the goods rather than a courier’s demand — which delivery term applies to an article is stated on the article.

  • No listing fee, no monthly fee, no manual product approval
  • Your range, your prices, published without waiting for a release
  • Certificates and approvals as article data, at your own articles

Two ways in

Order the chain, not the single item

Four stages, several manufacturers, one basket — with your own order number and cost centre on the invoice. And if you supply plant like this: listing here costs nothing.
